Academic Advising

Academic advising is a collaborative educational process between the student and their academic advisor designed to support academic success. An academic advisor is assigned to each student enrolled at BSC.
Academic Records/Registration

Registration for classes is offered at various times throughout the year. Other services provided by Academic Records Office include transcript requests, transfer credit evaluation, program changes, student demographic information updates, withdrawals, dropping, adding classes, grades, graduation, and diplomas.

Academic Support Services provides tutoring and assistance with learning and/or implementing effective study strategies. These services are free and available on a drop-in basis for all currently enrolled BSC students.
Admissions

Admissions & Enrollment Services is where students begin the BSC application process. Admissions recruiters and staff assist throughout the application process, guiding students on what they need for acceptance to BSC.
Aquatic and Wellness Center

Students have access to the BSC Aquatic and Wellness Center including the pools, fitness center, and fitness classes. Lockers are available.
Athletics

BSC offers 16 collegiate athletic programs -- volleyball, women's and men's cross country, women's and men's track and field, women's and men's basketball, women's and men's wrestling, women's and men's rodeo, trap shooting, eSports, softball, baseball and competitive dance. Go Mystics!
Bookstore

In addition to selling, renting and buying new and used textbooks, the BSC Bookstore also provides kits, ebooks and Instant Access digital materials. Shoppers can find BSC apparel, school supplies and giftware. Mystic Java, located next to the Bookstore, sells assorted coffee drinks, cold beverages and convenience items.

BSC Campus Police maintains a safe and secure environment for the college community. The department provides safety prevention and programming, responds to incidents on campus, patrols parking lots, and works closely with the local police department.

Community Standards Coordinator - BSC Code of Conduct

The Community Standards Coordinator is a student-centered position dedicated to student success throughout various student conduct-related processes, serves as the chief judicial officer and campus conduct case manager, works on policies and practices, initiates programs supporting student accountability, serves a liaison to campus for students of concern, builds a culture that supports non-traditional student populations and inclusivity, as well as office objectives, programs or other initiatives during high traffic and recruitment times.
Counseling

Student counseling, located in the MACC, offers short-term, solution-focused counseling to help students clarify goals, build on personal strengths, and develop practical strategies for managing current challenges. Crisis support is also available, with an emphasis on immediate stability and connecting students to long-term therapy or community resources when needed. All counseling services are free and confidential for BSC students.

It brings together key student support services—including academic advising, career counseling, wellness and mental health counseling, and accessibility services—all in one convenient location.

The Student Accessibility Office, located in the MACC, supports students with disabilities and/or medical conditions by providing tailored accommodations to ensure equal access to academics, campus facilities, and activities, while maintaining high standards. Testing Services

The BSC Testing Center offers proctoring for BSC students’ online course exams, accommodated exams, and makeup assessments. For students needing placements for Math and English, Accuplacer testing is available. Testing Services also offers testing options to the community, including CLEP, ATI TEAS, Pearson Vue, and Meazure, as well as test proctoring through other universities.
